Established in 2015, after a direct cooperation with the initiator of the project in Romania, M. Ivan Patzaichin, multiple Olympic champion and proud son of the Delta, the Romano-Canadian Association for the Protection of the Danube Delta has the mission to promote through education and representation and, at the same time, to introduce, emphasize and preserve the identity and the specificity of the Danube Delta.
Our Association is a major branch of the AssociationIvan Patzaichin – Mila 23 and is addressing to the Romanian diaspora from Canada.
To present the cultural, ecological and social heritage of the Danube Delta – natural site protected and classified in the world heritage by UNESCO since 1991.
To raise awareness of the members of the Romanian diaspora in Canada about the importance of getting involved in the projects elaborated in Romania to preserve this unique heritage.
To help the Association Ivan Patzaichin-Mila 23 realises its projects by financing some of them.
To oversee if the collected funds from the Romanian diaspora are allocated in priority to fulfill the main ecological and heritage projects in the Danube Delta – Romania.
To maintain a permanent, reliable, efficient and transparent organisation.
